GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: Mass General Brigham Personalized Medicine is looking for a Manager of Research Programs to lead research initiatives, both internal and funded by the National Institutes of Health. The Program Manager will contribute to an existing large research program, the Mass General Brigham Biobank, and will lead several tracks of work on an NIH-funded program called RECOVER (Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery). The Mission of Mass General Brigham Personalized Medicine is to transform health care by accelerating the research and use of genetic and genomic information in the clinical setting to improve patient care. To serve its mission, Mass General Brigham Personalized Medicine is home to several large research programs, including the Mass General Brigham Biobank and RECOVER. The Biobank is a large-scale research program that has enrolled more than 150,000 participants to enable research that will, over time, improve the ability to prevent and treat disease based on individual differences in lifestyle, environment and genetics. RECOVER is an NIH-funded study for which Mass General Brigham serves as the Data Research Core. The Manager of Research Programs is responsible for leading performance improvement programs within the aegis of the Biobank and for leading operations for several tracks of work on RECOVER. The role reports into the Director of Research Management System and works closely with a team of Clinical Research Managers, Principal Investigators, Biostatisticians, Software Developers, and Business Analysts. Principal duties may vary over time with project demands, and with skill levels of other staff assigned to the project. This position is at the forefront of enabling personalized medicine at one of the leading research institutions on the international stage and provides the opportunity to work with world-class researchers and clinicians in an enterprise-wide setting.
