What you'll gain:

As a Corporate Legal and Compliance Intern, you will gain valuable insights into the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern corporate operations. Through hands-on activities, mentorship, and project work, you will develop a deep understanding of legal compliance processes, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. This internship provides a great opportunity for those interested in corporate law, compliance, and risk management, offering exposure to various aspects of legal work in a corporate environment. Key learning opportunities include:

Regulatory Research: Assisting in researching and interpreting laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the company's industry and operations.

Contract Review and Management: Supporting the legal team in reviewing, drafting, and managing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Compliance Monitoring: Assisting in the monitoring and enforcement of company compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls across various departments.

Risk Assessment: Participating in risk assessments to identify potential legal or compliance issues and recommending actions to minimize legal exposure.

Policy Development and Implementation: Assisting in the development, communication, and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with departments such as HR, Finance, and IT to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated into daily operations and aligned with overall business goals.

What you need to be successful:

Education:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a field related to the internship

Minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0

Skills:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Basic project management or organizational skills.

Personal Attributes:

Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges.

Availability:

Willingness to commit to the internship duration, typically 10-12 weeks for a summer internship

Ability to work in the location where the internship is offered
