Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Specialist-Capital (Medical equipment).

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible is responsible for providing strategic sourcing serviceson Capital Acquisition to NYU Langone Health based on predefined service levels. The Specialist will request, review, and execute quotes and contracts from start to finish. He/she will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through both the planning and acquisition process. The Specialist will report into the Manager for Capital.

Job Responsibilities:

* Capital Sourcing- Will support in the execution of Capital Sourcing projects for NYU Langone Health ensuring the timely review and processing of capital requests, maintain capital project schedules while negotiating reduction of capital project costs, and assist in developing process improvement plan to streamline the capital acquisition workflow.

* Analytical Skills - Must possess the skills to interpret and analyze data both financially and qualitatively in order to present and interpret outcomes. Must be able to explain and convey data to all end users. Must be able to identify sourcing opportunities from data.

* Assess Needs and Initiate Sourcing Projects - Supports Sourcing Manager in initiating and managing RFP's, based on hospital expansion projects, equipment EOL notifications, standardization opportunities, and other related value adds.

* Vendor Management - Optimizes vendor relationships; maintains QBR calendar to periodically review supplier effectiveness.

* Supplier Selection and Contracting - Conducts negotiations with suppliers on pricing. Develops terms and conditions that support our business requirements, including clearly defined service expectations on goods and specifications, performance measurement practices and shortfall remedies.

* Relationship Management - Acts as customer service support liaison. Obtains requestor/end-user feedback to ensure alignment/expectations are consistent with their departmental goals. Assists departments implement sourcing changes, especially if moving to a new supplier.

* Cost Savings - Will identify, implement and quantify strategic sourcing savings opportunities.

* Business Process Optimization - Seeks ways to improve business processes within (but not limited to) Supply Chain Department

* Market Evaluations - Gathers and interprets market and competitive intelligence through formal and informal processes.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a minimum of two to three years Supply Chain experience, and preferably one (1) year in strategic sourcing responsibilities for various commodities both products and services within and outside healthcare organizations.
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc).
Some knowledge of procurement/sourcing process
Desired Skills Sets:
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work with data in excel;
o Organizational savvy;
o Strong written and verbal communication skills;
o Excellent customer service skills
Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or other recognized certification

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $85,987.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
