Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:

This program aims to increase the supply, distribution, and quality of the sexual assault nurse examiner ( SANE) workforce. The program aims to provide access to mental and physical care for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Program goals

  • Increase the number of trained and certified SANEs.
  • Increase the number of available SANE training courses.
  • Expand access to sexual assault forensic examinations, especially in rural and underserved areas.
  • Foster an environment that supports SANE training, practice, and retention.

Description of Work Continued:
Primary Purpose of the Position:

Under the general supervision of the Project Director, the Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the grant's day-to-day operations. This includes overseeing project activities, serving as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring timely data collection and reporting, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations and grant funder guidelines. The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that the grant's goals are met, that stakeholders are effectively engaged, and that the program's impact is maximized.

Time - Limited position. This position is contingent upon the continuing availability of those non-state funds.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
Communication Skills:

  • Oral Communication: Effectively communicating with stakeholders, including participants, community partners, and internal team members.
  • Written Communication: Proficiency in writing reports, grant proposals, and official correspondence.


Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Skills in coordinating activities, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis, project management, and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, project management software).
  • Ability to use other relevant databases.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and managing diverse perspectives.

Adaptability and Flexibility:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and emerging challenges in program delivery.
  • Flexibility in managing evolving program needs and stakeholder expectations.

Detail-Oriented:
  • Strong attention to detail in managing program documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management certification is preferred but not required.
