Cape Fox, subsidiary Mountain Point, is seeking a Director of Quality and Safety. This candidate will develop and implement the construction safety and quality programs, quality control plans, enforcing policies, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines for the Mountain Point construction company. Work will be performed primarily within the United States (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida). General construction work will include: building renovations and repair; new construction; pre-construction services, IT and physical security upgrades; electrical, plumbing and HVAC; and demolition. Civil and utility work will focus on specific electrical and underground water infrastructure (e.g., potable water, storm, sewer) and all associated earth moving services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our reputation for quality and safety, ensuring all projects meet both company stringent standards as well as and regulatory requirements. Your role will be pivotal in sustaining Cape Fox's commitment to excellence and continual improvement in our processes.

The Director of Quality and Safety supports internal department development of the corporate safety and quality programs for standard operating procedures (SOPs), deliverables, subcontractors, and employees to embed the safety and quality focus within the company. The employee will help improve and/or develop internal quality control (QC), technical and safety policies. The Director of Quality and Safety will oversee the department of site safety officers, site QC officers, contractor quality system managers, and quality specialists in support of project managers, site superintendents and their construction projects. The Director of Quality and Safety provides leadership and guidance for the department, works to improve core processes, and supports projects. The employee will accept ownership to ensure the staff is developed in all safety and quality functions. The employee will maintain company safety and quality records and training records for internal compliance.

Duties include:



  • Develop and implement quality control and safety management systems.
  • Develop and maintain a continuously improving quality and safety program
  • Ensure the Cape Fox quality and safety policies and programs are implemented consistently to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment
  • Establish training and development programs for quality and safety for field staff
  • Ensure that all employees receive the appropriate training to perform their work safely
  • Monitor and evaluate construction field processes to ensure compliance with internal and external safety and quality standards.
  • Perform regular audits and coordinate inspections to identify potential risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to address quality and safety discrepancies.
  • Train and guide staff on compliance protocols and industry best practices in safety and quality management.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality and safety performance and present findings to the President of Construction.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to build brand awareness and increase market share through our exceptional quality and safety with client POCs
  • Serve as safety liaison to owner representatives, subcontractors, and OSHA
  • Manage investigations of accidents that result in recordable injuries or major equipment or property damage and produce reports for management review
  • Attend industry training to keep quality and safety certifications current and stay updated on quality, safety and environmental best practices
  • Develop Net Zero goals for project sites for quality and safety with Director of Operations and President of Construction.



Work Environment

Primary work will be supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. The Director of Quality and Safety typically work full-time in a variety of settings, including offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves considerable travel and fieldwork such as project kick off with safety and QC managers monthly audits. The employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations. The employee will work on a team with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of a project's design and construction are completed correctly.

Employee must be able to work with minimal supervision, be flexible, cooperative and take initiative; work well under pressure, plan, be resourceful, and well organized; maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and be polite and professional with the general public; maintain a professional approach towards work and a positive attitude and philosophy consistent with Company standards.
