Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will be joining our manufacturing operations team to gain practical experience and contribute to various projects in the field of industrial engineering. Throughout your internship, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and streamline operations in our organization. This role offers you an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and learn valuable skills in a real-world industrial setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Time and Motion Studies: Conduct time and motion studies to measure and analyze work methods, tasks, and resource utilization. Provide recommendations for process optimization and ergonomic improvements.
  • Process Analysis: Collaborate with engineers and production leads to analyze existing processes and systems within the organization. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Data Collection: Assist in gathering relevant data and performance metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing, logistics, or other operational processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives. Help implement and track changes aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing waste.
  • Simulation and Modeling: Utilize industrial engineering software and tools to create simulations and models that aid in optimizing processes and making informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Industrial Engineering or related field (preferably master's Program).
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team's success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering principles and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of process optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
