The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The State Pre-College Enrichment Program (S-PREP) is a free high school and college preparation program for 7th -12th grade students who reside in New York City. The objective of the program is to increase the number of underrepresented students pursuing careers in healthcare or related STEM professions. The program offers academic enrichment courses that are designed to prepare students for success in math and science. The program also offers career development workshops, college advisement services, field trips and college tours. Preceptors for the S-PREP program will lead math and science courses for middle and high school students. Program participants come from diverse backgrounds and generally have varying academic skill sets. This is a great opportunity to exercise curriculum construction, establishing/executing course instruction and differentiation skills. Course offerings will include, but may not be limited to Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Anatomy & Computer Science. Responsibilities Preceptors will report to the S-PREP Program Administrators within the Office of Student Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Supporting the preparation of program sessions including classes, special events and other program related activities Minimum Qualifications
