Cyber Security Intern

• The Cyber Security intern will assist the Cyber Security Lead with:
• • Network and hardware troubleshooting
  • Researching solutions
  • Testing & documentation
  • Cyber security incident response efforts
  • Monitoring internal and external policy compliance
  • Assessing and mitigating cyber risks
  • Creating audit policies and controls
• Other duties may be assigned

This position may have access to Protected Health Information. In accord with HIPAA Privacy Rule, the person filling this position has been trained on Interstates HIPAA Privacy Policy and agrees to abide by the stipulations set forth in that Policy

Education and/or Experience:

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Network and Security Administration, Cyber Operations, Cyber Defense or related fields
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, understanding of common ports and protocols, and familiarity with common cyber security technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated
