Overview
Interstates is currently seeking a Safety Intern to join our Interstates Construction Team on our National Traveling Team. The Safety Intern will be responsible for assisting the Safety Managers. This individual will also help our customers achieve a successful and safe work zone, that meets all owner/regulatory requirements, as defined in the primary job duties section, below. Responsibilities SUMMARY: The Safety Intern assists the Safety Managers in providing quality service to their customers. The goal is to assist our customers to achieve a successful and safe and healthy work zone that meets all owner/regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Studying for a degree in Occupational Safety or some other form of safety. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have the ability to motivate and achieve results through others in a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with all departments and personnel of Interstates Electric & Engineering Co., Inc. Ability to display and convey a positive image of self and the company to all individuals in daily duties. Must be capable of handling the work schedule of this position, which may include evenings and weekends. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
