Employee Experience & Social Impact Specialist

Mimecast has built a strategic global corporate citizenship program that drives shared value among all of our key stakeholders, from our communities to our customers to our remarkable Mimecasters. The Employee Experience & Social Impact Specialist will play a critical role in operationalizing our global mission-driven programs that connect our employees to one another, to our values, and to the communities that we serve. The Specialist will join a dynamic global team that oversees Corporate Social Responsibility, Employee Communications, Employee Engagement Programs, Employer Brand, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

This role will predominantly support our Employee Communications and Employee Engagement leads to scale and operationalize programming that promotes and celebrates our purpose-driven culture. The EE&SI Specialist will wear many hats in a high-exposure role with opportunities to work alongside senior leaders while bringing corporate events and community engagement opportunities to life.

What You'll Do:

The ideal candidate will bring a focused energy and innovative perspective to operationalize programs that drive employee and community engagement. The Specialist should be willing to roll up their sleeves while still being capable of effectively interacting with senior leadership, all while demonstrating a clear commitment to our employees, our community, and our core values. The Specialist will play a central role in operationalizing programming specific to two core areas:

Employee Experience - Work alongside our Employee Experience team to drive meaningful engagement in the hybrid workplace by organizing and supporting programs related to employee onboarding, recognition, culture-building events, virtual engagement platforms, Global Town Halls and more. The Specialist will also support the creation and delivery of content, on platforms such as Unily and Slack, to support our internal communications strategy and programs.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) - The Specialist will work with our EE&SI team to create and organize core programs related to our global CSR and ESG commitments, including volunteer events, fundraisers, employee relief campaigns, environmental sustainability initiatives, support for our annual ESG report, and more. The Specialist will be responsible for the tracking of core impact data, such as employee donation matches and volunteer hours, acting as a liaison to HR People and Program Partners.

We are looking for an exceptional, creative and action-oriented individual to help support our team and wider business goals by creating and scaling strategic and meaningful employee experience and social impact programs worldwide.

What You'll Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent job experience required. Major or focus in employee experience, CSR, internal communications, or human resources highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working within a midsize global organization.
  • Operational capabilities and experience, including experience with project management, event planning, community engagement, and mutli-stakeholder logistics.
  • Knowledge and experience in the fields of CSR and Employee Engagement.
  • Experience with DEI programming a plus.
  • Deep understanding of how to interact with and energize a broad range of multi-generational, diverse employee groups.
  • Global experience working with geographically diverse range of organizations, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication skills to support our internal communications priorities and programs.
  • Knowledge and utilization of intranet platforms a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work model - requires minimum of 2 days in the office between the days of Tuesday and Thursday.
