TMZ is looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. The ideal Human Resources Coordinator candidate will be a hands-on, enthusiastic, self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy, newsroom environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding process, supporting recruitment, handling transactional matters, and fielding day to-day HR inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
  • Schedule interviews, candidate follow-ups, and conduct reference checks
  • Attend talent acquisition events as needed
  • Create and maintain job description library
  • Oversee Intern check-ins and workshop schedule
  • Provide administrative assistance during performance review process
  • HR Database Management
  • Oversee and manage COVID-19 protocols
  • Coordinate and facilitate training as needed
  • Coordinate yearly employee Flu Shot Clinic
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in HR or related field
  • Working knowledge of HR processes is required.
  • Experience using Workday is required.
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition, a plus
  • Excellent judgment, integrity, and discretion involving confidential information.
  • Must have strong phone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Be able to complete tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment (with quick turnaround)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $21.00-23.63 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
