Our client is looking for a Workday Payroll Analyst to join the team! You will help support our clients US Payroll module through researching issues, creating and testing earnings/deductions, responding to reporting requests
Location: 100% Remote
Pay Rate: Up to $64 an hour
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
  • US Payroll Support: Manage and execute all aspects of US payroll processing using Workday, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries, bonuses, and other compensation elements. Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Earnings and Deductions Management: Create, configure, and maintain earnings and deduction types in Workday. Ensure that all earnings, deductions, and benefits are accurately reflected in payroll calculations and comply with legal and company policies.
  • System Configuration: Configure and maintain Workday payroll system settings, including pay groups, salary plans, and deduction codes. Implement changes and updates as required to support payroll accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Prepare and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and system functionality. Collaborate with HR, IT, and finance teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance payroll operations.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience working in HR with a broad understanding of the employee life cycle; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Workday configuration and reporting experience.
  • Experience creating earnings/deductions and troubleshooting Payroll EIBs.
  • Business Process Administration and Workday Report Writer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced knowledge of Excel preferred) and Google Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and outstanding organizational skills.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to general employee and manager questions, looping in other team members as necessary.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Ideal candidate will have completed Workday Training related to HCM Fundamentals, Configurable Security, Business Process Administration and Workday Report Writer. Any additional Workday training modules are a plus!
