Overview Mechanical Designer Overview We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to facilitate the creation and maintenance of Engineering Product Data (3D models, drawings and BOMs) at Bruker AXS LLC located in Kirkland Washington. The Mechanical Designer role involves working closely with R&D Scientists and Manufacturing Engineers to create CAD models, drawings, and BOMs. You will work throughout the entire product lifecycle, supporting research projects and prototypes through to initial production release, and executing design changes during assembly/integration/test and post-delivery. The Kirkland facility is expected to grow very fast and the main focus of this role is to prepare the Engineering Product Data needed for initial production of a new product in a new manufacturing facility. Responsibilities Responsibilities * Create new mechanical part and assembly models in SolidWorks following direction of R&D Scientists and Manufacturing Engineers. Qualifications Qualifications * Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), or related field. Skills * Proficient in mechanical design using Solidworks or equivalent CAD software. Desired Qualifications and Skills * Proficient with ISO 8015 Geometrical Product Specification (GPS), ISO 2768 General Tolerances.
