The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Custodian for the Athletics Events - Operations department.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Performs a wide variety of routine custodial duties required to maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and habitable condition.
  • Performs basic maintenance and repair duties on University facilities and equipment.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • No experience required.


Certifications/Licenses

  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
  • Two (2) years of driving experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Two (2) years of driving experience.
  • Will be require to successfully complete the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course.

  • The shift is 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, but this postiion will be required to work nights and weekends.
