JOB SUMMARY: The Program Supervisor supervises the development and implementation of the DC Pre Apprenticeship Construction program in accord with best practice standards, contract/grant requirements, and Agency practices and procedures. The position acts as Facilities Site Coordinator, working as liaison between the program and the Facilities Department.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides administrative supervision of 1 FTE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Supervise the team process for program services, assessment, planning, and implementation, and regular review of progress for the clients served.
  • Supervise the program operations to include program design, publicity, outreach, recruitment, student enrollment, intake, and orientation in accord with project quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members from Workforce Development program to ensure clients have needed resources and support to prepare, gain and retain employment.
  • Supervise and coordinate student testing including CASAS, PACT and NCCER curriculums. Develop, design and implement the Technical English and Communication Skills curriculum. Keep track of student certifications.
  • Maintain student records and case notes in SERIS according to program and COA standards. Monitor and ensure accuracy of statistical program data in SERIS including modifications to reports and systems as needed.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external program reports to the program director according to set deadline.



    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:



    • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
    • 5 years of progressively responsible experience coordinating adult education, literacy or career development programs.
    • 1 year of supervisory experience.
    • Experience in social services promoting civic, economic and educational betterment for the low-moderate income Latino/Hispanic community.
    • Driving is required. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.


    SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:



    • Proficiency in English and Spanish. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
    • Skill in data management, budgeting, reporting, coordination, and planning and in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
