Job Summary

The Vendor Relations Coordinator is a member of the Sterile Processing Department's Vendor Relations Team whose primary responsibilities include serving as a department liaison in coordination with vendors. This position will also provide instrumentation, implant, and ordering support to the department. The Vendor Relations Coordinator plans instrumentation needs to ensure case readiness and timely delivery for patient care needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with cleaning and disinfection products.
  • 6+ months experience working with instrument inventory and tray management.
  • Experience working in a central sterile processing department.
  • Certification from either CRCST from Healthcare Sterile Processing (HSPA) or from CSPDT from The Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) may be used to substitute the minimum work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Base Certification from either CRCST from Healthcare Sterile Processing (HSPA) or from CSPDT from The Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) is preferred.
  • 6+ months work experience as a central sterile technician

Department Overview

The Central Processing unit also supports Patient Care Services and the Primary Care Network: within the health system by cleaning, disinfecting reusable equipment and the cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, disassembly, reassembly and sterilization of clinic instruments and equipment used by these services. The Vendor Relations Coordinator is a member of the CPU Vendor Relations Team whose primary responsibilities include serving as a department liaison and coordinating vendors. This position will also provide instrumentation and Implant Support.
