Onsite Construction Project Manager

Koch Specialty Plant Services (KSPS) is looking to add an On-Site Construction Project Manager to their team. In this role, the Onsite Construction Project Manager will oversee all aspects of projects. This includes setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, tracking financials, monitoring, and summarizing progress of projects and making sure they are completed on time and withing budget. This role will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.

What You Will Do

  • Work hand in hand with customer planning team while onsite to develop step outs and job plans.
  • Assist onsite planning team with job walks and face to face schedule logic reviews.
  • Assist onsite planning team with ordering of materials and rental equipment.
  • Working with the onsite logistics team to optimize locations for temp facilitates and tool room.
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and third parties to ensure safe, timely, and profitable outcome of project.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Read & interpret drawings/specifications to assure that work is completed per the client's request
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Lead personnel in assigned job safely and correctly
  • Ensure all equipment is correctly installed per design
  • Provide project assistance to other Site Managers while displaying communication, teamwork, and dedication towards the customer and KSPS
  • Actively engage and promote the SafeStart program/initiative in tool box meetings and daily encounters.
  • Ensure crews are actively engaged and participating in the JSA questions aspect of the JSA process.
  • Further educate all supervision of the importance and expectations for all of KSPS forms and documentation
  • Help to make sure all my leadership uses the skills that we learned in the supervisor training in the field
  • Handle site manager duties one smaller projects where we can send workers only to gain more opportunities.
  • Lead management efforts on larger projects by attending update meetings, safety walks, and safety meetings

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Project experience in a refinery/petrochemical facility
  • Experience managing project estimates, schedules, budgets, and forecasting
  • Experience managing vendors and clients.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Previous Project Management and/or Construction Management Experience
  • Previous field experience in managing Owner/Operator budgets and schedules
  • Experience in utilizing MS Office & MS Projects
  • Field Experience working in capital projects and turnaround environments
