OverviewMicrosoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Office of CO+I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products and solutions that improve the performance, efficiency, and reliability of Microsoft's data centers. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and business partners to identify customer needs, generate innovative ideas, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will also collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure alignment with Microsoft's standards and specifications. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 100 Datacenters and 1 million servers. Our foundation is built upon and managed by a team of subject matter experts working to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 50%. ResponsibilitiesDesigning and developing electrical circuits, schematics, layouts, and components for data center power products, such as UPS systems, PDUs, and power converters. Performing electrical simulations, analysis, and testing to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the products. Collaborating with mechanical, thermal, firmware, and software engineers to integrate electrical products into the data center system. Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues and defects during the product development and deployment phases. Evaluating and selecting electrical components, vendors, and manufacturing partners for the products. Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and reports for the products. Conducting research and staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in the data center power domain. Other Embody our culture and values
