Shipping Associate - 1st Shift

1st Shift, Mon - Fri 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Pay Starts at $18 - $20/hr.

Dripping Springs, TX - Direct Hire 100% onsite (15768 Hamilton Pool Rd Austin, TX 78738) - Trace Analytics

Job Summary:
Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare laboratory testing and kit items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material with robust quality control; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Responsibilities:
* Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
* Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
* Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
* Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
* Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.

Basic Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
* Passion for working in a fast-paced business environment, comfortable with continuous change, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and perform duties outside those described.
* Multi-tasker: skilled at planning, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities, working well under pressure and adapting quickly to change.
* Comfortable with hands-on repetitive tasks that require both urgency and precision.
* Computer, data entry, and keyboarding skills.

Key Compentencies
* Be able to lift up to 35 Lbs
* Stand/ walk for long period, both indoor and outdoor.
* Working environment temperatures vary substantially.
