Overview

Our R&D team is looking for a Firmware Intern focused on firmware design. This role will help design next generation technology for many challenging test and measurement instrument applications. This could include working with Linux or Windows drivers, low level drivers, and operating systems design, test, and implementation.

The ideal candidate is working toward a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and shows strong proficiency in low-level programming, as well as a desire to continuously investigate new technologies, tools, and processes. Familiarity with Linux operating systems are beneficial. This role will expose the candidate to firmware operation and design on a range of processors. A strong candidate demonstrates clear communication abilities and is ready to join a spirited, high-impact and collaborative team.

  • Majoring in a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience with Linux or Windows system library coding in C, C++, Rust, or Go
  • Proficiency in hardware test and use of common measurement devices: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies
