Key Responsibilities and Contributions

As a Software Engineer on our EMSO team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated software solutions that enhance our electronic warfare test capabilities. You will work alongside a team of talented engineers and scientists to create cutting-edge systems that aid our most important defense customers, and their missions. You will be part of a diverse, high-profile team within a high growth area for the company that has projects and results visible to senior leaders of Keysight.

We are seeking an experienced Software and Systems Engineer - with a specialization in on-premises HPC High Performance Computing for the development of a real-time simulation application for our Aerospace Defense & Government Solutions group. This will require the use of modern SW development platforms and technologies (100GbE+ networking, RDMA, gRPC, etc) to meet the demanding performance requirements. Core Responsibilities

  • Designing, deploying, and scaling cloud infrastructure in hybrid environments
  • Develop Software for cloud networking using technologies such as
    • Kubernetes
    • Docker / Podman
    • .Net Aspire
    • Linux
    • RDMA
    • GRPC / protobuf
    • Redis
    • SQL and alternates
  • Develop strategies to push updates to all cloud nodes
  • Administer and manage reference/test HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks
  • Develop high quality processes and documentation
  • Mentor less senior developers to enable them to effectively arrive at solutions

Qualifications
  • BSEE/BSCS or BSCE or equivalent education (engineering, math, or scientific discipline), with emphasis in Software networking and proven systems engineering experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Software development experience with C#
  • 3+ years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • Proven experience in the following common cloud computing tools
    • Must have experience in Kubernetes (orchestrator); Experience writing Kubernetes operators or other Kubernetes integrations
    • Must have containerization experience with Docker or Podman, Singularity or equivalent
    • .Net Aspire is strongly preferred (or other contain /framework)
  • Understanding Common cloud data transfer
    • GRPC / protobuf
    • Redis
    • SQL and alternates
  • Experience building, deploying and troubleshooting HPC clusters
  • Experience with UDP, TCP, IPV4/IPV6
  • Hands-on experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies.
  • Professional experience building, deploying and troubleshooting Linux systems
  • This position requires a U.S. person. Employment in this position for non-U.S. persons is contingent on ability to obtain any required government authorizations.
  • Based on Customer program requirements, Candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain a US DOD security clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with a scripting language (Bash, Python) to automate and solve reoccurring tasks
  • Experience working with AWS
  • Familiarity with GPU usage in a compute cluster and CUDA.
  • Experience with service discovery and routing between microservices

Colorado pay range: MIN $101,080.00- Max $168,470.00

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
