The Opportunity

You will be a member of the Release/Tools Engineering team for the Marketo Engage platform. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with a software engineering background who is passionate about developing software to help maintain and scale the Marketo tools, release process and configuration management. This position involves interacting multiple teams to gather needs and concerns. This individual should be self-motivated and have a drive for quality.

The best person for this job won't necessarily be the one with everything on our wish list, but will be the person who shows they can learn, collaborate, and contribute to our culture!

What you'll do:

  • Improve and evolve the build, release and deployment processes in support of our diverse product platform.
  • Establish a continuous (CI) pipeline to fully automate the build and deployment processes using Jenkins, GitLab, Shell Scripts, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.
  • Build, maintain and improve our infrastructure for our multi-site development team including source code repository, build tools and scripts, continuous integration infrastructure, packaging and deployment tools.
  • Actively participate in product releases and deployment activities, promptly debug and resolve issues observed by customers or production environment
  • Design, create and maintain tools that automate the development process
  • Establish processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including check-in validation rules and branch/merge processes

What you will need to succeed :

  • BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in one of the scripting languages (Bash, PHP, Python or Ruby preferred)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with configuration management tools (SVN and GIT)
  • Experience working with containers and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience working in a cloud environment
  • Experience with object-oriented design
  • Experience with Linux and supporting application in a Linux environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $92,100 -- $166,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
