Hill International is seeking an Office Engineer in San Jose, California



  • Review and process requests for information (RFI's).
  • Develops, prepares and processes change orders, proceed orders and all relevant documentation.
  • Organizes and maintains construction records, office files and filing systems; updates log of required construction reports and correspondence.
  • Ensures project documentation is processed in a timely manner.
  • Reviews contractor monthly pay applications and verify payment quantities.
  • Prepares and reviews the adequacy and accuracy per the contract.
  • Prepares and develops a variety of reports and correspondence on project matters including daily, weekly, monthly, and final completion reports, contract modifications, engineering changes and correspondence with contractor on fulfilment of requirements.
  • Review and process submittals, perform quantity take-offs, attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes.
  • Update and post construction plan sets.
  • Provides support and assistance in contract administration; performs project closeout.
  • Perform other project support duties as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Rail, Transit or Highway experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of effective communication within team and with stakeholders.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Utilizes Adobe Acrobat.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license
  • Position is on-site in Santa Clara County


The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $145,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
