Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Inpatient Hematology

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Hematology Inpatient with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you'll be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that's driving the very best in pediatric care. With a leadership team that advocates for all APPs to practice at the top of their license and encourages continuous learning, you'll have a real voice and hands-on work to contribute in the care of patients: daily rounds, department-specific procedures, and the incomparable opportunity to build collaborative relationships with the patients and families that make St. Jude so special. Because of the unique nature of the work we do, your work here will be some of the most challenging of your career, but it will undoubtedly be the most rewarding. This role covers a rotation that includes every day of the week including weekends (2-3 weekend days per 4 weeks) and holidays, no nights, typically 12 hour shifts.

Education Requirements:

Physician Assistant:

  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation and Review Commission on Physician Assistant Education. (ARC-PA) (BLS/PALS/ACLS)

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Master's degree in nursing required.

Experience Requirements:

  • Pediatric or oncology experience preferred

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Must possess a current Advanced Practice Nurse License issued by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing (LC: AP-TN)

  • Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state (LC:RN-TN) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state (LC: RN-ARK, RN-MISS or RN-KY) Supervising Physician: verified by St. Jude Managed Care Department (LC: SUPMD)Nurse Practitioner Certification: American Nurses Credentialing Center (LC:ANCC-NP) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (LC: AA-NP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (LC: PNCB) Certificate of Fitness: State of Tennessee - Division of Health Related Boards (LC: CERTFIT) DEA certification: U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration within 6 months of employment (LC: DEA)

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Nurse Practitioner I-Tier II.
