Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E)

By joining our Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption (C2I&E) business, you will be a member of a team dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline the preparation and execution of intricate, mission-critical operations. We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment.

Job Description
Ultra I&C is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Customer Solution Engineering and Research and Development (R&D) activities. This position will be remote with potential of relocation to Huntsville, AL or Austin, TX and will play a critical role in leading the integration efforts for Ultra's flagship product. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative development and integration environment. This role requires frequent travel to domestic and potentially international customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of systems integrators, providing guidance and support.
  • Oversee the hardware and software development and integration processes.
  • Ensure the quality of system-level testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with Customer Solution Engineering and R&D teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Travel to domestic and international customer sites (up to 25%) to support integration activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer engineering and integration projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality delivery.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Active US Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • 15+ years of experience in systems integration, with a focus on Command and Control (C2) hardware, software, tactical data links, and network components within tactical military systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Direct operational and integration experience with systems such as ADSI, AFATDS, ADAM Cell, PATRIOT, THAAD, AMDPCS, FBCB2/JBC-P, AMDWS, FAAD, IBCS, C-RAM, and C2BMC.
  • Strong understanding of tactical data networks and troubleshooting skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux) operating systems and their Command Line Interpreters (Command Prompt or PowerShell, bash or other Unix shell).
  • Bachelor's degree or above in a technical discipline or relevant years of experience.
  • Experience in Customer Solution Engineering and R&D activities.
  • Familiarity with tactical data links (Link-11/16/22 Systems) and satellite communications (STJ and JREAP-A).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and execute comprehensive test documentation and procedures.
