Plans, schedules, supervises, and has administrative authority over the field engineering work in an assigned area. Controls field engineering activities, prepares construction and procurement schedules, conducts subcontract negotiations, and provides technical guidance to support construction operations in accordance with the construction program.



Proficient within a field technology discipline. Work is subject to practices and procedures and may require periodic review with other teams or work groups. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.



University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or equivalent trade qualification combined with further relevant training and experience. Experience varies based on education background. Those with degree typically have additional 3+ years relevant experience. Those with trade qualifications will generally have 7+ years relative experience.



Decisions are based on established guidelines. Independent technical decisions are made within a project, but final project decisions and recommendations are made with others. Recommendations made are limited to the solution of an assigned problem rather than the impact of the solution.



Works under supervision and technical guidance with regular weekly interaction with supervisor. Broad duties assigned weekly to monthly. Work is reviewed for accuracy, adequacy, and conformance with prescribed procedures.



May assign and review activities or work of junior staff, but has no authority for performance evaluations impacting pay.



Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts, developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed.



Intermediate understanding of systems, processes and tools specifically related to field.
