POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Coordinator works as an assistant to the Team performing any clerical or administrative task assigned. The Shipping Coordinator's assigned team will be the Logistics Department.

POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Creating and maintaining reports complying with governmental guidelines
  • Performing time tracking functions, if required, for the department
  • Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures
  • Understanding of United States geography
  • Regular/dependable attendance required
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required
  • May require assisting and implementing production planning in order to meet customer demands
  • May perform inventory transactions for the department for both incoming and outgoing inventory and maintain accuracy
  • Participates in WWS's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when on the production floor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 28 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
