Overview:

IntelliBridge is an award-winning national security company looking for a Regional Intelligence Analyst (Africa) to support a vital national security mission. In this role, you will assess and disseminate analysis regarding threats and incidents of terrorism, political violence, and crime directed against U.S. diplomatic facilities and personnel, as well as other U.S. interests overseas, to provide the necessary context for senior leadership's safety/security and threat mitigation decision-making. Through classified research, you will produce concise, accurate, and informative analytical products that provide context and actionable insights to guide U.S. diplomatic operations in complex and evolving security environments. This position requires excellent writing, briefing, and collaboration skills, including the ability to engage in diplomatic and constructive analytical discussions with team members and leadership. The work schedule will be regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with the ability to telework up to 20% after onboarding.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Classified Threat Research and Analysis. Conduct thorough, classified research using multiple databases and information platforms to independently identify threat information and draft informed analytical assessments for senior officials engaged in security operation decision-making within the Africa AOR.
  • Analytical Production. Regularly draft, clear, and issue a wide variety of products and documents to provide threat assessment, analytical insight, and interpretation of information impacting overseas security environments. Products are generally 2-5 pages, providing clear analysis, concise language, and a well-structured Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF).
  • Briefing & Presenting. Brief analytical findings to team members and senior government officials, effectively defending your analytical insights while being open to incorporating valuable feedback from colleagues and stakeholders to refine existing and future products.
  • Collaboration. Work closely with a team of intelligence analysts in a collegial, academic atmosphere. Engage in analytical discussions, navigate differences of opinion diplomatically, and contribute to creating informative, professional intelligence products.
  • Longer Analytical Production. Identify opportunities to produce longer, more in-depth analytical products when needed to provide deeper context or insights on evolving threats or complex security situations.
  • Deadline Management. Ensure timely production of all intelligence products, adhering to established deadlines and utilizing strong time management skills.
  • Travel. Ability to travel if/as needed to conduct consultations with security personnel in the field and to provide support for protective operations associated with overseas major events (such as international conferences, sporting events, etc.).
  • Adaptability & Growth. Bring a desire to learn, contribute, and grow in your role, showing a willingness to go beyond customer expectations and enhance the overall intelligence analysis process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of experience without a degree.
  • A self-motivated individual eager to contribute, learn, and exceed customer expectations through their work.
  • Proven experience in intelligence analysis, production, and the application of intelligence to decision-making processes.
  • Ability to conduct classified intelligence research, analyze complex security environments, and synthesize findings into actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Strong writing ability, with the capability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively to individuals without a background in the topic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to engage in discussions, coordinate with team members, and produce enhanced intelligence products through collective input.
  • Proven ability to meet production deadlines while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality products under time constraints.
  • Experience briefing government officials and defending analytical positions with confidence while remaining open to constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Africa, with knowledge of the political, cultural, and security environment in the region.
  • Familiarity with Department of State policy, processes, and operations.
