JOB SUMMARY:
Prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability and other financial activities for SRL2, the real estate segment of the Cash Depot / Dave Charles family of companies. Develop and maintain subject matter expert for Accounting & General Ledger related systems and processes.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Acquire knowledge of the Quickbooks accounting system and become subject matter expert.
- Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash accounts.
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels.
- Execute all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including managing credit card expense reports and reconciliation.
- Responsible for integrity of the general ledger.
- Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
- Provide auditors verification of financial results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of previous experience in accounting or finance.
- Previous experience in an accounting software system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relevant systems.
- Operate within the corporate policy guidelines and business practices.
- Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills, written/verbal with internal and external contacts.
- Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough and a problem-solver.
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or assignment of duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime required.
