THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN EITHER DENVER OR COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO Are you interested in applying your Civil Engineering degree in the field of Bridge and Structural Inspection as you pursue your Engineer in Training and Professional Engineering license? Basis Partners' Bridge Inspection Practice Team is growing! We have a great opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate to join our Bridge Inspector Team based out of Colorado Springs to help build and grow this division of our company while joining an already very strong, motivated, and capable team. As a Bridge/Structural Engineer, you will build the foundation of your career through practical field experience, coaching, mentoring, and training. The position is a blend of technical, administrative, and field experience. You will be joining a dedicated Bridge/Structural Team contributing to field inspections and in doing so, developing your skills in observation, data collection, evaluation of bridge/structural conditions, technical writing to document inspection findings, and tracking project schedules and progress. As you gain the necessary experience and hours, the position is expected to evolve into a Bridge Inspector Team Leader role. Then, as you pursue your P.E. licensure, the position will become more involved in business development and serving as the primary contact with clients on bridge/structural project development, project management, and delivery. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Providing inspection and evaluation of in-service bridges (and structures) needed to meet client deliverables by: Reviewing and conducting pre-planning activities with team lead. Reviewing bridge plans, previous inspection documents, sketches, and other relevant documents. Using checklists and other inspection job aids to document observations, findings, and other relevant data. Taking photos and videos. Verifying dimensions and/or other measurement criteria. Operating survey and other equipment (e.g., rover, drone, lifts, ladders). Creating, writing, assembling, updating, and storing inspection data by: Assisting the team lead by providing input into inspection reports detailing information such as photos, sketches, drawings, calculations, measurements, or other necessary information. Systematically uploading digital deliverables onto cloud server and client's asset management system. Maintaining well-organized inspection documents and digital files locally and in project folders for easy access and retrieval. Assisting Team Lead on bridge analysis by: Participating in the evaluation of findings (e.g., damage, wear, and other deviations) and corrective action recommendations (e.g., repair and maintenance). Providing input into bridge inspection condition rating. Required: Pursuing a Civil Engineering Bachelor's Degree on target to graduate December 2024 or May 2025 Preferred: FHWA NHI 2-week training course Bridge-specific engineering classes Prior related bridge internship Passed E.I. exam prior to graduation Learn more about us!

This is an estimated pay range. Final pay rate will be determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, job related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
