Production Line Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Line Engineer to join our manufacturing team in support of Marine Depot Maintenance Center (MDMC) for the United States Marine Corps. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. The Production Line Engineer will work closely with various departments to optimize production processes, maintain equipment, and resolve any issues that arise on the production line.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Production Line Engineer: Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.


Production Line Engineer Responsibilities Include:



  • Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Quickly identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the production line to maintain continuous operations.
  • Work closely with design, purchasing, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless production processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of production activities, including process changes, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.
  • Train and support production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.


Production Line Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on process optimization and quality control. Prior military experience or working with the Department of Defense is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure precision and accuracy in all aspects of the production process.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve production processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and technological advancements.


Position primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and equipment. Physical Requirements include the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
