JOB TITLE / DEPARTMENT: Guest Services Lead / Guest Services POSITION TYPE: Seasonal - FT WAGE RANGE: DOE SUPERVISORY: $17.00 to $18.00 / hour D.O.E. SUPERVISED BY: Guest Services Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Assist Supervisor in all aspects of Guest Services Department. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available weekends and holidays ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: To create a friendly and helpful environment. Will perform all aspects of daily ticket and season pass sales. Assist in the supervising, hiring, scheduling, training, and motivating of the guest service team. Coaching staff with day to day decisions that affect guests and operating procedures contributing to the overall success of the department. Altering labor based on current day business levels. Responsible for assisting cashiers count out daily tills and compiling all cashiers reports into final revenue report for accounting. Responsible for assisting cashiers in refunds, specials, and any other transactions that would require supervisor sign off. Will interact with guests and gather information on a daily basis to have them take part in Schweitzer's Guest Surveys. Daily filing and organization of materials. Responsible for keeping office areas neat and clean. Will assist with supervisory duties as directed. Set up and maintain inventory control for supplies to run the office. Good telephone and communications skills are necessary. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position can vary physical position at will. Required to complete paper work activities for up to 6 hours per shift; will stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Breaks and lunch available between busy times on a varying schedule. Will lift up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs with help. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Work site is 85% inside and 15% outside. Sensory skills of speech, vision and hearing required. Hazards are ice/snow. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Position is subject to math, filing and computer skills testing. Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, events, and services, or initiative to gain. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Strong interactive skills with guests and co-workers with a desire to be helpful and empathic. Competent computer literacy/skills, accurate cash handling/ cashiering, supervisory skills, strong public relations/ guest services skills, working within a budget while still achieving high results. Multi-tasking and trouble shooting ability. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. English reading, writing, communication, and math. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year customer service required. Minimum of 1 year cashiering/ money handling experience Supervisory experience preferred. Ski industry experience an asset. LICENSE NEEDED: A valid driver's license insurable through Schweitzer Mountain is a bonus, but not a job requirement. A MVR Background check will be processed. MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Computer, 10-key adding machine, telephones. Windows based computer programs including Word and Excel are helpful. Must be comfortable trouble shooting. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult. High volume of business could be stressful. Possible travel. JUDGEMENT / MENTAL COMPLEXITY: Moderate to high. Quick decisions with extensive guest services. Must be able to use deductive reasoning to find entry mistakes and problem solve.
