JOB SUMMARY



This position will involve use of a Trimble Total Robotic Station Layout.




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Operate and maintain the Trimble Robotic Total Station for precise surveying and construction layout tasks.
  • Perform site surveys and set up control points to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Conduct topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and layout of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to interpret plans and drawings.
  • Transfer data between the total station and office software for processing and reporting.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly; troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of survey data, field notes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff on the use of the Trimble Robotic Total Station.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS




  • Educational and experience requirements include High school diploma/GED.
  • Certification in surveying or related field experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with other Trimble products and related surveying equipment.



REQUIRED KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES




  • General knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven experience operating a Trimble Robotic Total Station or similar equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using surveying software and data transfer tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and data recording.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar drafting software.
