Position Summary

The ERP implementation internship is an opportunity that introduces future system analysts to the structure and processes of a real ERP implementation. Identifying requirements, processes, and necessary outputs as well as supporting the data transformation are key components of this role.
Interns are primarily exposed to tools and processes related to business transformation, unit and user acceptance testing, and data conversion, project management and the role of the IT Business Partner, Project Management, Data Management, and ERP Support Teams.
Working alongside mentors, interns will analyze business requirements, create process maps for As Is and To Be Processes. Interns will create and run test scripts in ERP systems: Oracle and QAD Application. Interns will also work with analysts to understand the test case and business process. To be effective, interns must have a general understanding of data organization and concepts, as well as solid practical hands-on experience with computers.

Essential Job Duties

? Follow and execute directives issued by senior employees.
? Identify ERP business systems solution requirements by interviewing clients; analyzing work processes and operations; establishing solution objectives; preparing specifications
? Analyze "As Is" processes and determine "To Be" processes, identifying where changes may be required, working with business and Support Team resources to ensure acceptance
? Document critical business decisions
? Assist business resources to identify tasks and reporting that will require work instructions
? Assist business resources data conversion needs, based upon CV40 conversion process
? Assist business resources with data cross checks as program progresses
? Assist business resources in prioritizing change requests
? Validate and Maintain document organization to support the transformation
? Create tests for various layers and integrations of the application
? Continuous improvement and updating of existing tests
? Creating documentation related to tests
? Collaboration with developers and functional analysts to create
? Support day-to-day activities performed by the ERP Transformation Team
? Monitor dashboards and metrics with escalation to members of the team.
? Attain proven proficiency with testing, front-end troubleshooting and general triage.
? Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

? Successful completion of undergraduate coursework (or reputable trade program) in information technology.
? Fundamental knowledge of business process and tools
? Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL)

? Solid written and verbal communication skills.
? Capable of working with diverse teams.
? Organized and punctual.
? Confident, but humble and willing to learn and take initiative.
? Recommendations from previous instructors and internship sponsors.

Education Requirements

? Working toward completion of undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field preferred.

Experience Requirements

? Undergraduate hands-on and general knowledge coursework in information technology.
? Demonstrated hands-on lab experience in analysis, scripting and documentation.
? Ability to speak to software projects completed during education and training.

Certification Requirements

? None expected, but certificates obtained during coursework are a plus.
