Senior Network Security Specialist Linxx Global, Inc. (Linxx) is currently seeking Senior Network Security Specialist to work with us on a part-time, independent contractor basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in conducting risk assessments, penetration testing, and providing expert guidance on network security. In this role, you will collaborate with our team and clients to ensure secure network infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and propose effective remediation strategies. *Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled* *These positions are contingent upon contract award* Responsibilities: Conduct thorough risk assessments of network infrastructures, systems, and applications. Perform penetration testing and security assessments for internal and external environments. Develop and implement network security strategies, including firewall, VPN, and encryption protocols. Analyze testing results and provide detailed reports with actionable remediation recommendations. Work closely with client and internal teams to integrate security controls into network architecture. Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends, threats, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST). Act as a senior advisor during security incidents and assist in breach response. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior security team members. Ensure client networks and systems comply with security standards and industry best practices. Lead client communications on security findings, recommendations, and follow-up strategies. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in network security, risk assessments, and penetration testing. Proficiency in security tools (e.g., Metasploit, Nessus, Burp Suite) and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP are highly preferred. Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment methodologies. Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
