IS4S is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, mission focused person to lead and manage security operations at the IS4S site in Auburn, AL. This person will be responsible for supervising, directing, and implementing security measures in accordance with 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable government security manuals, training employees on security matters, supporting employee and program needs, interacting with DCSA and Government security personnel, and able to serve as a Special Security Officer when needed for potential future efforts. Additionally, this person will support site operation activities. The candidate will work with the Site Management Official (SMO) and Program Managers to recommend, implement and plan process improvements, enhancements, and changes to systems, including management of operating procedures, policies and standards relating to current and emerging technologies as related to general security and facilities management. The candidate is expected to be detail oriented and organized, a good communicator, and mission focused.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create, execute, monitor, and update the office security policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with Government and customer security requirements
  • Provide expert knowledge in clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including access control systems, alarm response for controlled areas in accordance with the NISPOM, ICDs, and other applicable government security directives associated security programs.
  • Provide guidance and instructions to all employees to 1) maximize our security posture and 2) ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately
  • Conduct security trainings, briefings, and debriefings of eligible employees
  • Assure proper marking, safeguarding, and transmission of all classified and COMSEC materials
  • Administer company PERSEC program and demonstrate advanced knowledge of government database systems (i.e., DISS, NBIS, NISS, etc.)
  • Maintain all records in compliance with our security manual and COMSEC procedures
  • Knowledge of Closed Area and ICD-705 construction
  • Be the primary contact for DCSA interactions
  • Be the primary contact for alarm and force response
  • Work with the contracts team to receive, process, and flow down DD-254 forms and other security requirements
  • Lead security plan process improvements and implementation of security requirements across the site
  • Contribute to the corporate security policy, practices, and posture
  • Oversee daily facility operations
  • Manage access control for employees and visitors
  • Ensure site presentation is always maintained at the correct standard
  • Provide for site safety and security; devise and implement site policies and procedures
  • Conduct any other reasonable tasks in accordance with operational needs as requested by management team



Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), Special Security Officer (PSO), or related Government or industrial security experience
  • Highly experienced with 32 CFR Part 117 / NISPOM plus working experience interpreting security regulations from multiple DoD components
  • Experience with e-Qip, NISS/DISS/NBIS, etc.
  • U.S. citizenship per 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(2)(C)
  • Active Secret (required) or Top Secret (desired) security clearance
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel both internal and external in a professional and effective manner
  • Ability to work successfully in both a dynamic team setting and independently
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills along with written and spoken communication skills
  • Professional demeanor and attitude
