Position Title: Lead Shell Technician

Wage: $17.75/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3pm-11pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Lead Shell Technician for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is a contract to hire role.

Lead Shell Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Responsible for overseeing production, research and development, process improvement, process control and general troubleshooting in the shell department

- Ensure robot operates correctly, maintain dipping schedule and directing other shell personnel while performing all duties within the parameters set forth in the quality system

- Develop processes to reduce scrap, labor, and cost

- Establish and maintain proper process controls, records, and testing

- Oversee production and troubleshooting for the shell department

- Inventory/cycle counts and requisitions for purchase of production and shell maintenance materials

- Initiate projects/experiments to evaluate, advance new materials and/or processes

- Establish appropriate modifications according to experimental results and cost analysis

- Maintain complete records of any modifications made

- Handle in-plant problem-solving reports and non-conformances from customers

- Verify the implementation of solutions

- Process experiments for process improvements on individual jobs, information from various internal non-conformance records; such records include miscellaneous shell scrap tickets, inspection reports and results from completed experiments and sample process cards, modify existing processes according to experimental results

- Perform general housekeeping

- Learn, observe, and apply safety/quality policies

- Perform all duties in safe manner at all times; observe quality process throughout all phases of operations

- Other duties as assigned by management

Lead Shell Technician Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent is desired

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired

- Attention to detail for inspection purposes and the ability to multitask

- Ability to communicate with all team members

- Ability to lift up to 50-60lbs and able to stand for long periods of time

- Use of hand tools

- Must be able wear respirator
