Department OverviewThe Motorola Solutions Radio Engineering team, located in Plantation, FL., specializes in the design and development of world class Mission Critical Communications equipment. This team develops state of the art mixed signal modules and integrated circuits for use in our radio products. We need innovative and motivated mixed signal system-on-a-chip designers to apply their talents to take our radio product solutions to the next level. As a member of our team you will have opportunities to work on a variety of circuits and system designs. Job Description
  • Create and innovate circuit designs for RF, Analog, power circuits, interface logic, sensors, and other peripherals in deep submicron IC nodes.

  • Perform RF system design calculations for both receivers (Noise Figure, IM, etc.) and transmitters (Multiple PA technologies and modes of operation, harmonic suppression, etc).

  • Solid experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit block modeling, design and verification using Cadence or equivalent CAD tools.

  • Understanding of RF test equipment and measurement tools, such as signal analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 4+ years of Mixed Signal IC design experience

  • Mixed signal analog & RF circuits design experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Cadence, ADS, CST circuit simulation tool experience and scripting for design automation.

  • Ability to own and drive design assignments to completion.
