Description
The Plaistow YMCA is looking for a dynamic and experienced Competitive Gymnastics Coach to join our team and elevate our already outstanding program. We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and compassionate leader with a passion for guiding young athletes toward their gymnastics goals. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in competitive gymnastics coaching, a love for mentoring, and a proven track record of preparing gymnasts for regional and national competitions. In this role, you will craft and implement personalized training programs that address each gymnast's unique needs and competitive aspirations. You will assess skills, offer constructive feedback, and design conditioning and flexibility mobility plans to enhance strength and agility. Your responsibilities will include preparing athletes for competition through choreography, skill development, routine preparation, and mental coaching. We believe in supporting the whole gymnast in alignment with our core values. You'll monitor and adjust training methods based on athletes' progress while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment that supports personal growth. Collaboration with fellow coaches and support staff will be key to maintaining a unified training approach. Our coaches stay current with gymnastics techniques, trends, and rules, ensure safety standards are met, and communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and stakeholders about performance, goals, and program updates.
