Position Summary

Manage and oversee all academic, administrative, and student services operations of select academic programs. Manage flow of student issues and concerns; provide direct advisement services to students. Develop and manage program budgets. Collaborate with faculty directors to develop short- and long-term goals for the academic programs and services provided to their students. Develop and cultivate effective relationships with University and School constituencies and outside contacts to help achieve program objectives. Serve as a reader on the admissions committee and represent the programs at recruitment events.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Relevant Master's degree (e.g. MPA, MA in Higher Education)

Required Experience:
3+ years 3-5 years of related experience in higher education or public service administration, including managing programs and providing one-on-one service to students.

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience liaising with faculty and managing data

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must possess outstanding customer service skills, the ability to maintain extremely well-organized records, and a detail-oriented approach. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as oral and written communication skills, are also a necessity in this role. Counseling, student advisement, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels are required, as well as knowledge of standard office software and the ability and willingness to learn reporting applications.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
