Join Our Team as a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician!

About the Role: The Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician is essential to our organization, ensuring our food safety programs are executed with precision. You'll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team that works closely with operations, sales, and warehouse departments to solve problems and improve processes.

Location and Shift:



  • Hatfield Main
  • 2nd Shift


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with other departments on food safety and quality issues, enforcing FSQA policies and procedures.
  • Lead incident and complaint investigations and responses in your assigned area.
  • Monitor adherence to USDA/HACCP regulations for sanitation, including pre-operational and operational sanitation and personnel practices.
  • Perform audits and process inspections for sanitation, quality, food safety, and other manufacturing and FSQA processes.
  • Support change management requests and implementations, as well as audits, investigations, and trace exercises.
  • Train team members for backup or alternate shift coverage.
  • Verify the effectiveness of preventive measures and corrective actions.
  • Escalate issues to the FSQA supervisor when needed.
  • Conduct micro verification, product testing, and sampling as needed.
  • Complete assigned projects and manage individual performance plans.
  • Attend meetings and support on-the-floor FSQA tasks.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of one-three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
