Job Summary:

SUMMARY
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources department and oversee our full-cycle recruiting, bearing primary responsibility for the recruiting/hiring process for the full panoply of positions across SGI's manufacturing plants, as well as certain other corporate positions. This individual is able to explain business processes and knowledge in an approachable format, and also understand the in-depth technical requirements associated with our manufacturing and mining operations in order to fill critical positions. This is achieved through continuous learning, the development of employing sourcing strategies, and resources as well as developing new, creative HR solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Coordinate, support, and/or initiate recruitment activities, including but not limited to job postings, candidate assessments, interview coordination and on-site interview support, conduct interviews (including on-site interviews), offer letters, and pre-employment screening.
* Coordinate, support and/or complete pre-employment onboarding activities with new hires, including on-site in our manufacturing operations.
* Full-life cycle hiring/onboarding responsibilities for Corporate roles.
* Coordinate, implement, and/or conduct College recruiting initiatives for Interns and Co-ops
* Passive recruitment - source, evaluate, and qualify top talent utilizing the Applicant Tracking System, Internet Databases, and Social Media Platforms.
* Pipeline Development - Build strategic relationships with local professional groups andorganizations, agencies, etc.
* Regular travel to manufacturing plants and mining operations to understand operational needs and roles in question, as well as to provide on-site interview support/conduct candidate interviews on-site as appropriate
* Regular travel to career fairs and other recruiting opportunities
* Facilitate the creation of new positions and development of interview guides
* Qualify candidates based on job requirements, and apply behavioral-based interviewing techniques to assess knowledge and cultural fit
* Work with hiring managers to identify the interview team as well as the behavioral-based competencies and interview questions that will be used for the interview process
* Maintain the integrity of the behavioral-based interviewing process; including training interviewers in the process
* Continuously analyze current recruitment metrics and propose improvements on an as-needed basis
* Maintain a cost-effective approach to the recruitment and hiring process
* Develop and maintain job descriptions
* Participate in special projects as needed
* Any other duties as assigned

Technical knowledge/skills
* Advanced proficiency in ATS systems (Workday)

* Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools

Education/Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field, required
* 4+ years of recruiting experience, in a Manufacturing or Industrial setting, preferred
* HR Certification, preferred

Consideration will be given based on geography, candidate experience, and qualifications. Annual Salary Range: 67,500-86,250
