POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide the necessary leadership to maintain and update documentation relating to Engineering, Maintenance, Technical and Utility departments. Responsible for creating new, revising, modifying and/or updating process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams electrical/utility diagrams as requested by the various departments. Administer filing and organization of documentation in an orderly manner. Manage outside CAD resources to ensure they are productive and follow Nestle Engineering Standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Provide documentation support to engineering, maintenance, technical and utility including creating new, revising and updating existing PFD's, P&ID's, electrical and utility diagrams as directed.
  • Administer filing and organization of documentation including notebooks, stick files, and lateral files.
  • Provide leadership as required to keep engineering maintenance catalogs, databases, reference materials, drawings and electronic information up to date, organized and controlled.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship providing for effective information flow between CAD Specialist, Engineers, and various departments utilizing services.
  • SAP - write purchase requisitions for CAD department supplies and verify receipts.
  • Manage outside contract designers when workload dictates it and ensure Nestle drawing standards are maintained by all contracts designer drawings.
  • Assign new project instrumentation IO and all electrical panel numbers/drawing numbers.
  • Assist with MECO tasks; assign areas, verifications, control P&ID database, and final signoff of MECO tasks.
  • Safety and Environmental:
    • Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets
    • Follow the plant safety rules; report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately
    • Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
    • Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)
  • Quality:
    • Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets.
    • Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices; report food safety and quality issues immediately.
    • Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs.
    • Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems or comparable work experience. Will consider 5+ years work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience with CAD and technical writing and basic Microsoft knowledge.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of CAD design systems.
  • Above-average communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Service-oriented attitude.
  • General understanding of industrial electrical controls.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project required. PowerPoint and SAP are preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ladder logic is not required, but preferred.
