THOR Solutions is actively seeking a
Senior Systems Engineer to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation & Electrical (C4N&E) activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in
Panama City, FL. The engineer will support ISEA Engineering activities. An ideal candidate will possess experience supporting electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering efforts for a Navy or DoD equivalent program.
Typical Responsibilities:
Travel:Up to 10% travel is anticipated for ship checks. US Citizenship Required:Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment. Security Clearance Eligibility Required:This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (highly preferred); OR be eligible for a new Secret security clearance prior to start. Typical Physical Activity:Position includes around 60% time performing desk/computer work in an office environment and around 40% time onboard or around LCAC craft. Both components are essential duties of the position. Office work may involve: repetitive motion. Shipboard work may involve:traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches), bending, kneeling, crawling, or vision. Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
