Description

The Loan Servicing Specialist I will process transactions along with handle customer service items and assist Sr Loan Servicing Specialist with boarding's and system updates. This position is responsible for a variety of activities to support the day-to-day processing. Activities include but not limited, preparing daily work, assist with escrow account disbursements, flood and hazard insurance monitoring, payment processing and other various types of maintenance and data entry with validation. Also, a general understanding of applicable servicing practices and entry level knowledge of Commercial, Business, Consumer and Residential Loans.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Process all monetary and non-monetary transactions that impact the loan portfolio (payments, NSF checks, payoffs).
  • Process Verification of Mortgages.
  • Assist in boarding New Loans and Modifications.
  • Respond to inquiries received, and initiate contact with others by phone and mail regarding the Bank's serviced loans.
  • Assist in the preparation of reconveyances and other collateral releases for paid loans.
  • Request files for document follow up as needed.
  • Handle both incoming and outgoing mail, request and print notices.
  • Assist in preparing daily report updates.
  • Handle email requests from both internal and external customers.
  • Assist in monitoring flood and hazard insurance.
  • Contact agents for updated insurance and flood policies.
  • Contact taxing authorities for delinquent taxes.
  • Assist in resolving consumer issues and disputes.
  • Submit and work with escrows and assist in processing overages and shortages.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to requests for payoff demands received from borrower, escrow companies, and title companies.
  • Responsible for Annual 1098-year-end reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • 1+ years of experience in Loan Servicing, Banking or Accounting required.
  • Commercial and Business loan experience preferred.
  • Prior loan document experience preferred.



A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $17.29/hr. to $25.94/hr. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. A discretionary bonus and/or business line incentive may be provided, in addition to a medical and other benefits, dependent on the position.
