Acara Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a Hybrid schedule (3 days in office) position available.
Release Planner & FRCB Field Resource Coordination Champion for MUOS
$67-$72.00 per hour (DOE)
Role and Position Objectives:
As a Release Planner and FRCB Champion for MUOS, you'll oversee satellite communications system release planning and execution with a cross-functional team. Your tasks include:
  • Planning: Develop and align release content objectives, set milestones, and create communication and development schedules.
  • Coordination: Track progress, manage cross-team communication, and ensure development schedules align with testing resources.
  • Testing Oversight: Work with System Engineers to ensure effective test planning and smooth system test execution.
  • Issue Resolution: Address progress issues and facilitate effective communication.
  • Status Reporting: Update release development status in monthly reviews and communicate scope with the deployment team.

The MUOS team, under our Space & Intelligence Systems (SIS) line of business, assists in the management and operation of the orbiting satellites through the deployment of the MUOS ground system. The system includes four ground station facilities positioned worldwide, each equipped with three freestanding antennas that act like cellphone switches, receiving radio calls relayed through the MUOS satellites. GD provides the user-entry and integrated ground segments for the system, which will replace the military's current narrowband tactical communications system.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Agile experience preferred
