Responsibilities

40% Microbial benchwork: The researcher will contribute to projects on the ecological and evolutionary effects of antibiotics, motility, temperature and nutrients in model microbial systems.
20% Prepare results for presentation: The results of research will be published in major journals in the field and presented at national and international meetings. This position will require data compilation, figure preparation, and aid in manuscript preparation.
40% Laboratory maintenance: The scientist is expected to help with routine lab maintenance

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
-Excellence in sterile technique and working with microbes.
-Understanding of ecological and evolutionary processes.
-Experience working with interacting microbial species, and experimental evolution.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

Required Qualifications
-BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
