Job Summary

Position Overview:

A recent college graduate hired as a Talent Development Professionals (TDPs) in Ready Mix will embark on a concentrated 12-month rotational hands-on developmental program. This will introduce skills and opportunities to further build your college skillset for a successful career at CEMEX USA. TDPs from all business units will experience day to day operations and project-based learning to collaborate and network with others by being introduced to the CEMEX's core businesses units.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:



  • Participate in a rotational program involving field-based responsibilities, project assignments, hands-on training, simulations, and other experiential learning opportunities.
  • Acquire specic knowledge of manufacturing and distribution requirements for high quality product
  • Ability to work outdoors for 50% to 80% of the time.
  • Work entails physical labor, with shifts potentially lasting more than 8 hours.
  • Lead and adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and/or MSHA rules and regulations.
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards, be an advocate for safety.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in one of the following degrees:

    • Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Science Management/Construction Management, Business Admin/Business Management, Mechanical Engineer, Environmental Engineering (open to more degrees).


  • GPA of 2.5 and above (3.0 preferred).
  • 2 years or less of work experience & passion for related industry is preferred - other placements, COOP, internships or university projects.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive approach to taking on new challenges.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills in physical labor and rotating tasks.
  • ACI certification, ASTM certification (desirable).

Working Conditions

  • Rotational schedules involving outdoor work in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work with standard ofce/computer equipment.
  • Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary.
  • Exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear protective equipment while at the location.
  • Willingness t o relocate domestically.
  • Work entails physical labor.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls.

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $73,000 to $85,000, depending on, but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skill sets, experience, and education.
