Position Summary
The employee in this position cleans and maintains various types of floor surfaces, such as tile, terrazzo and wood floors, cleans and maintains carpeted areas, and maintains tools and equipment for maximum efficiency in cleaning.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
High school diploma preferred. Valid driver's license preferred. Knowledge of floor care and cleaning. Skill in the preparation, use and care of floor maintenance equipment. Knowledge of correct usage of chemical cleaning agents. Physical stamina and strength to perform long hours of hard physical labor: mopping, stripping, buffing and handling some heavy equipment. Minimum of one year direct floor maintenance experience preferred.
Work Schedule and Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Occasional additional time may be needed to meet the needs of the department.
