Purpose of Position |
Coordinates the processing and data entry into the Human Resources Information System (
HRIS) of employee source data (Personnel Action Requests and Faculty Appointment Forms) for faculty and staff.
Ensures timely input for payroll purposes, and maintains compliance with policies, legal requirements, regulations and operating standards for the retention of employee data. Ensures strict confidentiality of employee records and information. Process tuition waiver requests and coordinates offboarding activities. |
Primary Responsibilities |
- Accurately enter and maintain Faculty, Staff, and Student employee data in the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in conducting regular audits of HRIS data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation required for internal and external audits.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, administrators and external agencies seeking assistance with HR-related inquiries, such as tuition waivers, employment verification, HRIS changes, employment status etc.
- Assist with the coordination and execution of the onboarding process, specifically as it relates to ensuring that new hires have completed necessary documentation and are entered into the HRIS system
- Coordinates offboarding activities with separating employees by sending exit information related to exit interviews, benefits, and vacation payout eligibility.
- Completes employment verifications for faculty, staff, and student employees.
- Verify eligibility and process tuition waiver requests for employees.
- Collaborate with IT, HRIS and Payroll teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, and participate in testing, as needed.
- Train HR Assistant in best practices for data entry management. Suggest improving opportunities for improving HR processes, particularly related to data entry and document management.

Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a broad understanding of various HR topics including: ADA, employment law, employee relations and benefits.
- Detail oriented and ability to enter information with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive information that must be kept confidential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving abilities to troubleshoot data entry issues and identify and implement actionable steps to resolve problems; Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products and have ability to learn SAP and other HR related systems and processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment
